Sam has over 15 years of experience counseling individuals and businesses in tax and accounting strategies. He began his career working at American Express Tax and Business Services (currently RSM McGladrey) where he counseled both individuals and businesses. Sam left for private practice in 2005 and since that time has remained committed to counseling individuals and businesses in numerous sectors. Sam has served as the Treasurer of a recent congressional campaign and currently serves as the treasurer for numerous not-profit organizations.
Ron has over 18 years of professional experience providing audit, accounting, and tax services to a variety of clients, including real estate developers and investors, multi-family HUD financed projects, property managers and non-profit organizations. Ron performs cost certifications for Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) and Historic Tax Credit (HTC) properties and agreed upon procedure engagements. He also has extensive experience working on employee benefit plan audits including both defined benefit and defined contribution plans. Prior to joining the firm Ron worked at CohnReznick for 12 years. Ron currently serves as the audit chairman for a large housing not- for-profit.
Sara Brody, CPA
Sara is a senior manager and has over 10 years of experience. She has extensive experience in preparing financial statements, tax returns including; individual, partnership, corporate and not-profit; tax planning and general practice management. As manager of the company’s bookkeeping department, Sara enjoys helping clients appreciate and understand the financial and tax aspects of their business. Sara graduated with Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting.
Tina joined the firm in June, 2015. She has over 20 years of bookkeeping experience for small and large businesses. Her focus areas have included money management, bank reconciliations, accounts payable, accounts receivable, collections, HR, payroll and financial statement preparation. She works directly with business owners to keep their businesses running smoothly. Tina has successfully completed several accounting classes and is currently attending the Community College of Baltimore County to obtain an Associate of Applied Science degree in Accounting.
Avigail joined our firm in November, 2015. She has over 6 years of experience as a Staff Accountant for small businesses. Her duties have included reconciling accounts, managing and handling all aspects of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable, and financial reporting. She has also had several years experience preparing individual, partnership and corporate tax returns. Avigail graduated Suma Cum Laude from Touro College in New York. She has passed all four parts of the Uniform CPA Exam and is currently working on acquiring her hours to complete her CPA Licensure.
